AHI is a universal formula that describes the three phases of the divine process of creation. It is seen to depict the divine creation because its function is inspired directly by spirit (aleph, A) and not by any lesser power. The divine aleph-spirit exists within us all but cannot be consciously worked with until we raise our awareness up to at least buddhic levels (i.e. the fourth plane of our solar system). When we have succeeded in this we can begin to consciously cooperate with the purpose of the human spirit ~ it being one facet of the universal, creative Spirit...the synthesising force that is stepped down into, and infuses every level and particle of existence.
AHI is the abbreviated form of AHIH, meaning 'I am' in Hebrew. AHIH was a 'Name of God' given to Moses by Yehovah as related in the Old Testament (See: Exodus 3:14).
The AHIH formula is basically the same as AHI, the only difference being that AHIH emphasises the cyclic nature of AHI. The final ha (i.e. H2) of AHIH2 symbolises the husk from which the new generation of aleph-seed is released for the next cycle of creation. In Hebrew the letter 'ha' is spelled HA ~ that is, ha-aleph, showing us that ha contains the emerging 'aleph-inspiration' that will impulse and empower the next round of creativity. So in effect the formula unfolds: HA-H-I-HA-H-I...etc. (See: Figure 1.)
Creation does not have a distinguishable ultimate beginning or end, but appears to be an ongoing spiral of cyclic creative activity. Who can say when or why the spiral began, or when it will end? We can however, discern that its progress is rhythmical in nature, and thus we can reflect upon the various stages that are revealed during its continuous motion.
Nominally, the creative cycle begins with aleph (the spiritual essence of the previous cycle) as it is released from the old form and enters into, and vivifies a new, unexplored region of the Great Mother or Form principle. Its spirit permeates the raw substance of the new embodiment and stimulates the process of physical or biological evolution. In this way it prepares the Form principle for the second stage of the 'Law of Three' ~ that being the emergence of soul-consciousness within the form.
Consciousness, or 'yod', arises in 'ha' as the form principle develops the required organs of reception, and it ascends to great heights as the sensitivity of those organs is further refined.
The third (and final) stage of the 'Law of Three' begins as the conscious form begins to sense the reason for its being ~ the original purpose of its existence. This corresponds with the aleph phase of the AHI formula.
Thus AHI (or rather, HIA) is characterised by three key words: Form ~ Consciousness ~ Spirit. It represents one circle of the unfolding spiral of creation (see: Table 1).
The circle of the zodiac subdivides the three-fold creative process into twelve distinct stages from Aries to Pisces. The first four signs involve the cultivation of the form principle. The next four express the growth of consciousness within the form principle. The final four signs describe the force of spirit as it assumes control of the conscious form. (See: Figure 2.) All twelve signs depict the cycle of creative evolution, both microcosmic and macrocosmic, as it spirals into eternity. We shall investigate an example of both of these: The creative cycle of a humble fruit tree, and the evolution of collective Humanity.
(I) From Aries to Cancer
ARIES. The seed is planted in the sign Aries. It falls into the ground from out of the decaying fruit (Pisces) of the previous cycle. The seed contains the quintessence of what has gone before.
A new generation is sewn in Aries whether it be of a fruit tree or of Humanity. There is much speculation about the seeding of the human race upon the Earth, but we can be sure that our basic genetic structure was the product of an earlier cosmic cycle.
During the Aries phase everything was in absolute 'darkness' as the seed became buried in the rich, moist soil (or substance) of the body of Mother Earth. The seed of Humanity was planted within the fourth level of the cosmic etheric plane and gradually descended through the four lowest sub-planes to be covered in turn by the substance of each. Finally, the embryonic human race emerged within the seventh sub-plane of the cosmic ether ~ what we experience as the physical plane.
During the first creative cycle (i.e. from Aries to Cancer) collective Humanity learned to master the etheric/physical body. Our biological functions slipped below the surface of consciousness and our attention became focussed on the astral plane. In the second cycle (i.e. the current cycle) we are slowly transcending the astral plane as we polarise our minds firmly onto the mental plane. During the third great cycle we will achieve complete mastery of the mental plane and gain permanent access into the buddhic (or intuitional) realm. We shall achieve all this as a collective racial entity.
TAURUS. In Taurus the first root emerges from the seed, penetrates the soil and begins to draw sustenance from the surrounding substance. It starts to tap into its local resources in order to sustain itself.
At this stage Humanity began to learn how to harness the energy it required to survive upon the planet. It involved a process of acclimatisation and the development of survival techniques. The Earth's resources were the main focus of Humanity as a matter of necessity during this second phase of the Form cycle. The human physical body and constitution became strengthened and able to more easily assimilate the energy it required.
GEMINI. During this stage a single shoot sprouts from the seed and begins to push its way upward in its endeavor to break through the surface of the soil and reach the open air.
At this time the human race started to more intently explore its surroundings. There was a quest for information and rudimentary knowledge as members of the race began to journey into unknown geographic regions. Primitive languages evolved and communication between individuals became an important part of life.
CANCER. The final phase of Cycle-I sees the roots of the seed establish a firm hold within the substance of its foundation. The roots spread into the soil and stabilise the burgeoning seedling. Each root contributes its sustenance to the whole organism and provides vital energy as the main shoot prepares to break the surface of the ground.
In terms of Humanity this stage corresponds with the establishment of a community, albeit a primitive one. Here began the concept of tradition and the importance of family clans and heredity. The human colony had now become entrenched on the planet and was beginning to establish its power and authority as a dominant species. So too did the human gene pool become established as a reliable and resilient foundation upon which to base the future evolution of the human race.
(II) From Leo to Scorpio
LEO. Here we see the irrepressible shoot break out of the dark, oppressive earth and rise up into the light of day.
In the process of human evolution this stage represents the attainment of individuality at the race conscious level.
Whereas the first great cycle was characterised by the utter darkness, relative ignorance, and unconsciousness of primitive mankind, this second cycle sees the development of soul consciousness or individualism in the psyche of Humanity. Leo marks the beginning of this process.
Just as the seedling adjusts itself to the presence of the sun, turning its leaves in order to capture the solar radiations, so at this Leo stage of evolution Humanity became first introduced to the light of the collective soul. The nature of this light is 'creative-evolutionary' (i.e. of the IHVh current) and is transmitted through the being of certain key human civilisations and individual members of the human race.
VIRGO. The seedling grows into a sapling and finally into a tree. From its main trunk it sprouts branches, leaves and buds, and each leaf draws energy from the sun to contribute to the growth and development of the whole organism.
Like the sapling, the human race also produced 'branches, leaves and buds' during this Virgo stage of creation. There occurred here a process of diversification and specialisation as Humanity studied the natural sciences and devised new methods of harnessing energy and using the Earth's resources. New occupations for human labour arose as the race tapped into the creative potential of its collective soul. With such a diversity of avenues for human enquiry, Humanity developed during the Virgo phase, what might be called a productive system of society.
LIBRA. The tree's buds blossom into beautiful flowers. Each flower contains the masculine and feminine organs of fertilisation (the stamen and pistil).
Libra represents the creative-evolutionary phase that Humanity, it seems, is just now ending. It symbolises the culmination (or final expression) of the creative soul of Humanity as it reveals itself through the various arts and sciences that we have cultivated during our Earth experience. The souls of individuals, groups and cultures have each contributed their own creative light towards the unfoldment of the rich and diverse beauty of the human race. The flowers of Humanity have now opened and are waving in the universal breeze.
Some people might suggest that more intelligent pruning should have been implemented during the preceding Virgo stage because a lot of the flowers of our race appear now to be disfigured and diseased. Be that as it may, there is still an abundance of beautiful, healthy blossoms hanging upon the Human tree and these will be well utilised in the now imminent Scorpio phase of creation.
SCORPIO. The cross pollination of the tree's flowers now takes place. Carried upon the wind, and on the wings of bees, and on the feet of butterflies, the flowers' pollen is transferred to the flowers of other trees. And pollen from far away sources is carried in to fertilise the tree's own flowers.
There now occurs an exchange and a cooperative union of creative energies between the various creative departments of Humanity and also possibly with creative races from other planets and star systems. This process involves a great sharing, trading and merging between cultures (and worlds) with the aim of enriching and empowering the creative evolution of all.
Some might say that interaction with alien worlds has occurred before in Earth's history. True perhaps, but during this Scorpio phase it will possibly occur at a race conscious level, whence all human beings will be consciously aware of the interplanetary relationship and exchange that is taking place. This is because we may have now, as a collective entity, reached the required level of consciousness to be able to intelligently cooperate with our brothers from the stars.
It is important in any Scorpio cycle to let go of fear, and this will have to be achieved at the human racial level. We will have to enter into our creative relationships without a desire to manipulate, possess or over-power each other, or our space brothers. We will have to draw upon our own resources and enter into all partnerships as equals, without the feeling of inferiority and its accompanying over emphasis upon control. These feelings and reactions are all bred by fear.
We would also be advised not to give away our power - that is, to disrupt the 'right' balance of power, or indeed to hand over our power to certain extra-terrestrial beings who may have the desire to control us and our world. I don't wish to incite paranoia, but I suppose that it is possible that we may attract entities who might try and play upon our weaknesses and thus seek to use our subconscious fears and desires against us in order to accomplish their own secret ends.
The Human race has much creative energy to offer the galactic community, and likewise, they have much to offer us. We must recognise this fact and work with them in love, wisdom and harmony to build a better universe for all beings.
(III) From Sagittarius to Pisces
SAGITTARIUS. The tree begins to bear its fruit. The fruits grow larger and larger until they reach their maximum size.
In the third and final cycle the spiritual purpose of the whole creation is gradually revealed. In the case of the tree this is expressed by its fruit. The purpose of Humanity emerges, and is reflected in the works that evolve through our contact and interaction with each other and (possibly) with creative races from other worlds.
During the Sagittarius stage of human creative evolution there may develop a growing body of knowledge spawned from our contact with other intelligent races. In any case, our creative energy will be given a new, more specific and unified focus. Whereas in the previous great cycle (Cycle II) our energy was dispersed into more or less unconnected avenues of creative expression, in Cycle III we will be challenged and inspired to work together as a race towards a common and unifying goal. This goal may (or may not) arise as a direct result from our creative interaction with the galactic community. It is possible that we, as a race, will commit ourselves to participating in a group (i.e. interplanetary) endeavor, and all our energies will be unified and harnessed towards fulfilling that commitment.
CAPRICORN. The fruit ripens in the sun. Its aroma is sweet, its flesh succulent. It is delicious fair for all who desire to eat.
This stage will mark the crowning glory of collective human achievement. The various fields of knowledge that were explored, cultivated and expanded during the Sagittarius stage will here attain a high point of expression. The projects that we collectively agreed to participate in, and to contribute to (possibly as members of a galactic federation) will be completed, and will acquire a new level of meaning in this phase. The research and experimentation will have been done, and the final product offered up with love, and with a strong sense of purpose and fulfillment, to the community (possibly including our extra-terrestrial brothers and sisters). The whole 'local' extra-terrestrial community may share in the bounty that is the product of Earth humanity. You may ask, "What could we possibly give to them?" It would be something that only we can give because it would be our destiny ~ the manifestation of our divinely ordained purpose.
Note. A new, higher turn of the spiral of universal evolution will be
entered upon by a certain proportion of the human race during this
Capricorn phase. But this notion cannot be elaborated upon in this
writing.
AQUARIUS. The creative or archetypal essence of the fruit tree is drawn into its centre, into its seeds, which in the process become mature.
Within the crowning achievements of Humanity will be buried the seeds of whole new rounds of creative enterprise. It is difficult to imagine what this means specifically for future Humanity but if we consider the previous great round of the 'Law of Three' we can entertain an analogy and so gain some insight into the process.
If we envisage the original souls of all the races in our galaxy clustered together within a 'cosmic fruit'. There they were in perfect relation with each other, symmetrical and geometrical. Then they were thrown into apparent disorder, scattered about, with seeds falling upon various planets in the galaxy. The terrestrial human race grew from one such seed.
We can also imagine all the individual human souls of Earth when they were originally held in very ordered and geometrical formation within seven lesser cosmic fruits. Those (sub-)seeds also became scattered in disarray (upon the Earth), and like the greater cosmic seeds, they have encoded within them their original interrelationship.
It would seem that as each individual (and each intelligent race) raises his consciousness to the soul level then he becomes consciously aware of his original position within the 'fruit' (or group) and can then work to re-establish his connection (i.e. right relationship) with his fellow souls. When all souls within the group have done this then perfect order and harmony is re-attained.
Thus, returning to our original theme, there will arise in the Aquarius phase of human creative evolution, the seed ideas for future cosmic enterprises. These will be spawned within the genius of the human race; received as a gift from the universal Mind of the All-creator. No doubt we will by then have space travel and our Aquarian cycle will involve setting the stage for new levels of cosmic creativity.
PISCES. The fruit falls to the earth, its flesh decays and its seed is scattered upon the ground.
Here we have the dissolution of certain structures that Humanity had created (perhaps in league with our galactic neighborhood). The form will have outworn its purpose and so must be discarded, but the brilliant essence remains in the seeds and will be embodied in the next cycle. This time lies far ahead for the human race which is only now just beginning to enter the Scorpio phase of Cycle II.
