Pluto In Capricorn

Pluto enters Capricorn on January 27th, dips back into Sagittarius June 15 – November 27, 2008 and then re-enters the sign of the goat until 2024. During this time business and government are likely to undergo major changes. While these will be on a global scale, they will also affect personal and professional lives as well; especially if you were born in the sign of Capricorn, are a Capricorn Ascendant or have personal planets in the sign of Capricorn.  That is not to say the rest of the zodiac will be left out.  Pluto in Capricorn will touch all of us in some way.  So plan ahead. Protect your resources and your career interests. It’s time to “get real” as Dr. Phil would say. It’s time to fix what is wrong in your life, in your environment and indeed in the world. We will all see an increasing demand for reforms in big business, corporations and government, and long-established structures will be altered. The U.S. Declaration of Independence was signed and the United was founded when Pluto was last in Capricorn 1762-1778.

How will this transit of Pluto in Capricorn affect you?

Aries:  You can use this powerful planet and its transformative energy for positive personal change, although you will need to be somewhat cautious. It’s easy to become obsessive and to become so focused that everything is affected by tunnel vision when Pluto contacts your Sun. The persona change can take the form of physical changes, such as diet and exercisse, relationships and your career. Power plays at work are possible and you may find yourself with stiff competition for a promotion or involved in ongoing difficulties with a supervisor. This, in turn, can affect the close relationships in your life. You can make positive use of this influence and rise to a leadership challenge and to a prominent and highly respected position. Be especially aware of your actions and interactions with others the first and last weeks of March and the first week of April 2008. What you do then can result in positive developments later in April and in December.

Taurus:  Pluto in positive connection with your Taurus Sun will bring a subtle yet potentially life-changing transit that you’ll feel on an internal level rather than as events on an external level. You’ll probably begin to feel a growing inner strength,, along with increased determination and confidence. This is a terrific time for major personal changes, such as ending a bad habit, revamping your diet, or launching a fitness program.

Gemini:  Pluto challenges you to take charge of your finances. Procrastination is your enemy here, and it might be tough to push yourself to do what’s necessary. Do it anyway and with the assistance of an expert or your partner, if necessary. The action you take now, the spending, saving and investing guidelines you set in motion, will pay off, one way or another, seventeen years from now, when Pluto moves on to Aquarius. Begin the process by setting long-term financial goals. Specifically, what do you want your bank account to look like in 2025? Even if it seems so far away as to be in the next dimension, time has a way of zipping by, and you don’t want to arrive at Pluto’s destination and then wish you had implemented sound money management practices when you had the chance.

Cancer:  Pluto in Capricorn will intensity your close relationships. A romantic or business partnership is the most likely to be in the spotlight, with clashing egos and increasing discontent. Although it would be easy to place blame elsewhere, it always takes two, and you’ll discover much about yourself – reflected in other people. Heated moments in March, April and December 2008 could prompt you to cut ties, but be aware that actions taken under a Pluto influence are usually irreversible. Conversely, you could become so wrapped up in a new romance – even obsessed with it – that it becomes an all-consuming influence in your life. Even if a healthy and passionate relationship sweeps you off your feet, give it time to grow before you commit. Get to know every face of your potential partner to be sure you’re in sync on all the important things in life, such as family, money, career and children.

Leo:  Pluto in Capricorn will fill you gradually with an increasing desire to transform your career life.  Not exactly a sense of dissatisfaction, but more a feeling that life is flying by and it’s time to make your mark in the world. Your biggest hurdle here will be to convince yourself to adopt this new path so you can fully embrace a new direction. Give yourself time to adjust. By the end of this year, your mind and your desires will be in sync and ready to push forward. Make your mark in the world.

Virgo:  With this powerful planet in favorable alignment to your Sun, Ascendant or personal planets you’ll feel empowered and fully discover your inner strength, along with a newfound confidence to express yourself through creative endeavors. If you’re a parent, your children will enhance your life as never before, but be careful not to push them too hard in your desire to see them succeed. Instead provide opportunities for them to explore and develop their natural talents at their own pace.

Libra:  Pluto in Capricorn represents profound change or, in Pluto’s terms, transformation. You will experience everything from frustration to empowerment, from tunnel vision to enlightenment. The most important factor to understand about Pluto is that it’s almost always best to let events unfold in their own time. The more you try to control things, the less success you’ll have. If you’re ready to make a major personal change, such as your diet or overall lifestyle, Pluto will give you the determination to do it. And you can be sure that once Pluto moves on, you’ll look back and be amazed.

Scorpio:  As a Scorpio, you know all about the transformative energy of Pluto and are familiar with both its positive and negative manifestations. Use this Pluto energy for positive personal change rather than resist what you know if inevitable. Get in shape, adopt a more nutritious diet and healthier lifestyle, end a bad habit, or empower yourself to do and achieve whatever will strengthen you, your life your career and your relationships.

Sagittarius:  You’ll want to be especially attentive to money matters, and more importantly, set plans in motion to secure your financial future, not just this year, but for the long-term. Actions taken and decisions made now will se the trend for the next seventeen years, so use Pluto’s energy to fulfill your natural wealth potential, dollar by dollar, through savings and wise investments.

Capricorn:  You will have the determination, inner strength and willpower to accomplish almost anything on your wish list. But try not to become so focused that all else in your life is pushed aside. You’ll benefit from Pluto’s magnetic mesmerizing charm, but can also be so intense at times that the energy overwhelms other people. Strive for a happy medium that gives you the best of empowering Pluto while minimizing its potentially negative effects. Go easy on yourself and those closest to you.

Aquarius:  Pluto will prompt you to look within. Discover what empowers you and what holds you back, and then take action to resolve any issues that prevent you from maximizing your potential. Pluto will also enhance your intuition, and might spark a deeper interest in metaphysics as another way to realize your potential.

Pisces:  Pluto, for you, will be a steadying influence and one that can empower you to do just about anything you want to achieve this year. Just tap into Pluto’s determination and use it to better yourself and your life. Friends and groups are likely to be a part of this process and can provide the impetus and reinforcement to make personal changes to enhance your lifestyle.

PLUTO IN CAPRICORN

2008-2023

Although Pluto is a small planet (in fact, it is now classified as a dwarf planet) it packs a powerful punch. Pluto represents death and endings and the breakdown of the structures in our life that are required in order to bring transformation and fresh beginnings. Pluto brings us face to face with the ultimate reality of life and, watching over us like a shamanic guardian, destroys whatever stands in the way of our soul's ultimate destination.

Pluto's passage through the signs brings with it a compulsive fascination in the issues denoted by that sign. He ruthlessly exposes the darkness that lies at the core of the sign's archetypes and, destroying the old order, demands that we rebuild on the ashes of the old. Like the Phoenix bird with which it is associated, Pluto dies and is regenerated to begin anew.

Pluto has been traveling through Sagittarius since 1995, bringing with it wars (Pluto) over religion and ideology (Sagittarius), as well as "culture wars" and the growing divide between groups that think differently, all Sagittarius archetypes. Sagittarius rules the media and entertainment, and the rise of a new compulsivity in celebrity journalism has grown up since Pluto entered Sagittarius, with the internet spawning a huge new gossip market. Sagittarius carries with it a nearly relentless optimism; ruled by Jupiter with its expansive need for growth, Pluto in Sagittarius has seen soaring home prices and a burgeoning stock market that seems to have no end. The "new economy" of the dot com era occurred under Pluto's Sagittarian influence, as did the explosion of the vacation home market.

Pluto transits typically include a breakdown phase, where structures that no longer serve us are dismantled to make room for new structures that are more in line with our spiritual evolution. I like to think of these periods as course corrections, where our guides or gods decide that certain changes are required. If we understand the process and can surrender to it with trust, this can be an exhilarating time of transformation and empowerment. If we resist and hold on to the past it can be full of tragedy and pain.

Capricorn is the sign of the builder, the achiever. Capricorn is rooted in the material world and understands that life on earth requires a practical approach to the matters of earning a living. There is also a drive for success; to climb the highest mountains like the goat which is it's symbol. For Capricorn, the ends justify the means and achievement of one's goals is the important thing and it is able to maintain a powerful focus.

Its rulership by Saturn gives respect for discipline and authority and Capricorn has tremendous respect for governmental structures and the stability of a moral system. However, Saturn also bestows its tendency towards pessimism and lack of humor as all things personal are sacrificed for the goal. There is often a tendency to prize material things above those of the emotional or spiritual realms, and this lack of balance can create a dry and miserable experience.

When Pluto goes through Capricorn we can expect the transformation of all things ruled by that sign - such as our religious institutions, halls of government and political structures, the way we inter our dead and take care of our old people, construction techniques and buildings, and how we handle ownership of property.

While Pluto takes 244 years to orbit the Sun, its elliptical orbit means that it doesn't spend the same amount of time in each sign. For example, it only took twelve years to travel through Scorpio, but it took 26 years to get through Cancer and 19 years through Leo. Pluto will be in Capricorn until 2024, and this occurs at a time when our Capricornian structures are ripe for transformation. Industry (Capricorn) in developed and developing countries as become a major source of carbon emissions which threaten the survival of life on earth. The Catholic Church (Capricorn), rocked by sex scandals, is struggling for survival. The very way we do business (Capricorn) is being forever changed by the globalization of politics and the economy.

Pluto will be enter Capricorn for the first time January 25, 2008 and will retrograde back into Sagittarius one final time on June 14. It will journey back into Capricorn on November 26, 2008 and remain there until January 21, 2024. For sixteen years, Pluto will engage in a process of breaking down and then rebuilding the structures on which we depend for a successful experience in the material world.

There is a natural evolution to the path of the planets through the zodiacal signs as each sign offers a completely different experience than the sign before. In Sagittarius, Pluto has been compulsively expansive and optimistic, intensifying religious fervor - all qualities of Sagittarius. In Capricorn, Pluto seeks to contract and solidify and build solid structures for society. In the process, the structures that already exist are broken down and irrevocably transformed

Pluto was last in Capricorn from November 1762 until December 1, 1778. Pluto deals with transformation of the political and economic realities of our world, and its entry into Capricorn marked the end of the Seven Years' War in which France ceded Canada to Britain, but political unrest was felt throughout Europe as well as in the Colonies and this period marked a reconfiguration of many of the nations in the world. Catherine the Great acceded to the throne after the murder of her husband, perhaps at her own hand, and presided over wars with the Ottoman Empire that resulted in Russian acquisition of much of the Turkish lands. The first partition in Poland occurred during this period which split Poland into three sections owned by Russia, Prussia and Austria. Britain traded Cuba to Spain in exchange for Florida; Parliament passed the Stamp Act to pay for the wars that began the Colonial rebellion that resulted in the American Revolution.

The thirst for revolution in France, England and Russia of the Pluto in Aquarius period that generated an obsession (Pluto) with liberty and equality (Aquarius) stemmed from a reaction to the breakup and reconfiguration of world nations (Capricorn) that followed the colonial expansion (Sagittarius) that preceded it. Pluto's previous passage through Capricorn back in 1516-1533 c.e. was preceded by the original exploration of the New World that gave rise to the later Colonial ideals. Once the original explorers had returned to the courts of Europe, under Pluto in Capricorn those countries set out to conquer the New World and create new colonies that were subservient to the European rulers. The rise of anti-Catholic sentiment that brought about the rise of Protestants under Pluto in Sagittarius gave way to Martin Luther's formalizing his revolt with his nailing his Thesis to the door of the Church in 1517 under Pluto in Capricorn, founding a new structure of worship, the Lutheran Church.

Although Pluto will enter Capricorn for the first time in January, it will retrograde back into the late degrees in Sagittarius in June 2008 where it will make one final sweep through the Sagittarian issues of religion, philosophy, travel, ideology, journalism, optimism, and general expansion. Throughout 2008 it will be virtually stationary, traveling less than three degrees during this period, from 1 degree Capricorn back through 28 degrees Sagittarius. Because it will be stationary for so long, where its influence is the most powerful, I would expect a great deal of intensity and forced transformation during this period. This will be particularly intense for those of us who have planets in the late degrees of the mutable signs (Virgo, Pisces, Sagittarius, Gemini) or the early degrees of the cardinal signs (Capricorn, Cancer, Aries Libra).

Pluto causes endings and new beginnings - it forces us to surrender as it rebuilds us from the inside out. I suspect that throughout next year the intense optimism of Pluto in Sagittarius will battle with the necessity for realism of Pluto in Capricorn, and it will be a while before the economic problems really hit home. Mars will oppose Pluto in early March, which will create some fireworks of aggression and confrontation, and Saturn will make its second trine to Pluto in April which will ease the challenge of the new requirements of Capricorn Pluto which wants to tear down and rebuild the structures of our life and planet and intensify the power bases that govern society.

Once Pluto is firmly entrenched in Capricorn beginning in December 2008, we will begin to really see it at work. This of course will follow the US presidential election in November 2008. Pluto seeks to focus and intensify as well as break down and regenerate. The structures of our world keep societies in order and functioning: churches, governments, buildings - all of these are ruled by Capricorn. But so are bridges and tunnels, and the entire infrastructure upon which we live, particularly in urban areas, are likely to experience a severe breakdown while Pluto travels through Capricorn. Underground transportation, under the domain of the god of the underworld, could become a battleground as Pluto often brings warfare or death in the areas of the sign through which it passes (such as September 11th during Pluto in Sagittarius, where air travel became a conveyance of death and total world transformation).

During the passage of Pluto, we see extremes and compulsions in the area of life associated with the sign through which Pluto travels, and with the Capricornian association with governments and government buildings I would expect a worldwide attempt to solidify a global government and minimize individual liberties. Pluto deals with issues of power - on a personal level such as personal empowerment as well as with the power structures that govern all of humanity that fall under the rubric of the Capricorn theme. When Uranus enters Aries in 2010-2011, there will be a fervor as the pendulum swings back towards individual liberties. By the time Uranus forms a square to Pluto in Capricorn in 2012-2013 there will be tremendous cultural, social and political upheaval which will further transform governments and political structures.

Pluto's reach will extend beyond governments, however. Capricorn also rules the elderly and end of life issues, and Pluto's passage through Capricorn could transform the way we view the entire process of death and dying, including the disposal of the body after death.

Often Pluto's passage through one sign is a reaction to Pluto's passage through the previous sign, and in Capricorn there may be a reaction of the practical and materialistic Capricorn against the ideological idealism of Pluto's travel through Sagittarius. An overdose of pragmatism could lead to the negativity and depression with which Capricorn is sometimes associated. Capricorn is associated with achievement and can be ruthless in its efforts to climb to the top, and we could see an increased obsession (Pluto) with climbing the ladder of success that leads to a breakdown in certain segments of society.

There is always a side to Pluto cycles, and in Capricorn we are likely to see an increase in stability and a more practical approach to economics and business than we saw under the Sagittarian influence. The inflated (Sag) bonuses for CEOs that we saw in recent years are likely a sign of the past as businesses and corporations become more concerned with Capricornian fundamentals than with Sagittarian appearance and image. Capricorn is essentially practical and prizes achievement above all else, which means achievement of real goals and objectives. Although Pluto in Capricorn will bring out secrets (Pluto) of governments and other political entities (Cap), there will be an increased focus on proficiency, skill, and a successful outcome rather than spin and propaganda of the Sagittarian era.

I don't know about you, but all of that sounds to me like a great improvement and to which I am looking forward!

PLUTO IN CAPRICORN 2008-2024
Joyce Hoen DF Astrol S ©
published in The International Astrologer in January 2006

Pluto was first discovered when it was in the sign of Cancer, where it started its journey in 1913, just before World War I (WWI). After WWI the power factions in for instance Russia were in complete disarray, first after the collective murder of the entire family of the Tsar, and the rebellion of the suppressed nation; the result was thorough and lasting, a true Pluto action. Pluto remained in the sign Cancer for 25 years while the European world, its countries' boundaries, its empires, were being ravaged. The power of the aristocracy and monarchies belonged to a previous zodiacal cycle of Pluto a completely new cycle of power had started the power of the "common people" (Cancer).
In a way, it's easy to compare the sign Cancer to the fourth house, especially when mundane astrology or the 'astrology of the world' is being discussed. Toward the end of Pluto's sojourn in Cancer, the forerunners of the Second World War (WWII) could be noticed, a time in which a dictatorial demagogue (Pluto) tried to control the masses (Cancer) who didn't shun collective murder of those who in past times were thought to have had power.

In Western Europe the passage of Pluto through "the fourth house" of the mundane chart thus correlated with the rumbling of wars, although WWII did not truly start until Pluto entered Leo

In 1937/1938 Pluto began a 20-year period in the sign Leo. If we divide the horoscope circle in eight phases - like the Moon's eight phases- one can compare 0 degrees Cancer with a New Moon, a moment at which all is still unaware and the fundament of the entire following cycle needs to be build first - or shaken up as was the case with Pluto when it was in the lowest 'house' of the world's horoscope. The most dramatic period coincided with the point 0 degrees Cancer - 15 degrees Leo, for after that point, when Pluto had arrived in the next (waxing) phase of its total cycle - after WWII -, renewed building and a collective baby boom started. Of course 'children' also fall under the sign Leo.

After Pluto's ravaging at the lowest point in this western "world's horoscope", when for instance weapons were discovered for mass destruction (the atom bomb), Pluto began to proceed upwards in the world's horoscope, rebuilding from the 15 degrees Leo point or, putting this differently, from the first semisquare of Pluto toward the turning point, the first square, at 0 degrees Libra.

The second phase thus started at the first semi-square and finished when Pluto reached the point of the square.i.e. at 0 degrees Libra. Rebuilding was continued during this entire period; people worked very hard, and the nations (Cancer, with which it all started) achieved more and more power over their destinations. Power and money go together, and people continued to earn more to spend. Around the 1960s earnings became higher still, and slowly but surely the people who in a previous Pluto cycle were suppressed, began to earn enough money to obtain power and, ultimately, also status.

Thus, while Pluto travelled through the first quadrant of the new cycle -which started at 0 degrees Cancer- a total turn-around of the powers that were took place. In Russia and Eastern Europe a new dictatorship had risen: that of the people's collectives with a lot of mutual espionaging going on. The time had arrived for the next phase, namely the one from 0 degrees Libra to 0 degrees Capricorn, from about 1971 - 2008. Halfway through this quarter-cycle this new dictatorship in Eastern Europe would start to fall as well, with Pluto in the 8th sign (Scorpio), midway in this second quadrant from 0 Libra to 0 Capricorn.

Matters concerning Pluto often appear to be bloody events, but alltogether it seems that we are in a Pluto-cycle during which "the people" no longer are suppressed.

Right now we have reached the end of this 'waxing' phase of Pluto, halfway through the horoscope's zodiacal circle. During the latter part of Sagittarius we notice that all over the world people hanker after safety, certainty and freedom, and wherever in the world people still are suppressed, they want to escape to the free West, which by now feels nearly inundated by the suppressed of other countries.

What will happen when Pluto will reach yet another new quadrant? To stay with the Moon cycle terminology, this will start in 2008 when the waxing phase has finished and the waning phase starts, i.e. the Full Moon point.

On January 26, 2008, Pluto will move into Capricorn for the first time, to then travel retrograde into the tail end of Sagittarius between June 14 and November 27 of that year. From November 27, 2008, Pluto will stay in Capricorn for 15/16 years 2008-2024.

The increase of population is now at its peak, and if Cancer means birth and Pluto is -of course- the most important and collectively strong factor, we may presume that this increase will last until 2008 and will decrease thereafter! Because unfortunately, the populationgrowth creates tremendous problems in Western Europe, living space (Sagittarius) becomes smaller and smaller, with the result that collective migrations are now taking place, looking for space and individual possibilities to expand. The population growth keeps demanding more and more regulations for the simple reason that we, 'the people', can't always cope with the concept of freedom and misuse our planet and the still open spaces so badly because we're still fighting for our own safety, thereby endangering the safety of others and of nature itself. Pluto is now still in the quadrant of 'mutual relations' between people (Libra, Scorpio and Sagittarius), but the planet will move into a more collective quadrant (Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces) - the quadrant which asks us 'how will we all find a space that keeps us individual yet together; how will the world work it out on a grander scale?'.

A new kind of suppression is noticeable already the suppression by rules that are imposed upon us by outside forces, the authorities (Capricorn). It is also possible for us, individuals, to try if we can work with fewer rules by using our own disciplines better, by taking responsibility ourselves, as members of 'the people'.

Action is always followed by reaction. Whenever we take too much freedom individually, without regard for others, there will be a reaction. This may be imposed upon us by the ruling powers. During the sign Cancer the people murdered these rulers in order to claim power for themselves.

Now the people (that is, 'we') have gained power and occupy positions of political influence and authority. Will these same authorities this time be killed in a hostile manner, or will the people (we) show that we can handle individual freedom by actually accepting responsiblity?

Responsibility or rule? Rules originate when people don't take personal reponsibility; where there is chaos rules need to be created in the interest of the collective safety. Whenever we accept personal resonsibility, we'll need far less rules. Will it become possible during the Pluto in Capricorn period to have global governments that are formed by us, i.e., governments we personally created - apart from a collective new global dictatorship (also created by us) which will impose all sorts of laws and rules? The promise Pluto in Capricorn gives us is not at all a bad one - but are people capable of listening to their inner voice, or will they only take liberties and permit themselves to do as they like, at the cost of others? That is the question. Can we, "the people" who wanted the power in fact handle power? That is the question. This is always the question when Pluto occupies the tenth house of an individual's chart; power and the lack of it in relation to our social status are the order of the day in such cases. This theme exists because Pluto tries to use power in a pure, clean way, NOT at others' expense. Will it become possible to observe that our global governments will show far more prudence? - that people will take reponsibility for their own actions? - (just listening to our inner voice and our conscience should be sufficient) - so that all the objectionable rules will no longer be necessary? We will be tested from 2008 onward, and to begin with we might experience lots of noise and violence before we finally understand and can put it in practice - for Pluto is not a surgeon who leaves festering wounds. On the contrary should wounds occur they will be noticeable and they will cry out to be cleaned.

What can we do as individuals, when we are powerless and feel bullied by the collective powers? Just this: bring the power back to where it belongs - to ourselves. We, as people, have no power over circumstances beyond us, no matter how much we try to attain omnipotence to cover our fears. All we have is power over our own reactions and our inner life. Every individual is able to make a difference in this world. Our inner voice is far more important than any dictatorship - no matter whether this is a dictatorship of the times, of fashion, of status, or of entire global governments. Let's free ourselves of the dictatorship of status, of striving and distancing ourselves from ourselves. Take the power back and keep it with you; lead your life in harmony with your inner self, with nature and the people around you. Let's busy ourselves with all this rather than perish in the maelstrom of the collective force of social status, positions and powerful respectively powerless relations. We are in a prolonged Pluto cycle in which we must learn how to handle power, a cycle in which individuals ultimately need to be free to be their own self, without this happening at others' expense. Pluto in Capricorn appears to be the culmination of what was happening during Pluto in Cancer, when the planet was discovered and showed us that power belonged to the people. The people, that's us, you and me and all the others. Can we create a better world with Pluto in Capricorn by showing that we need fewer rules from the outside world and simply listen to our inner rules - the rules we all possess anyway?

We haven't reached that point yet in the coming year Pluto will first be making a conjunction with the Galactic Centre (at 26 degrees Sagittarius). In 2008, times will have changed again, and personally I definitely feel I'm still in the Pluto-in- Sagittarius phase, so that I cannot do better than speculate what will occupy us in the future. Still, astrology shows us in theory which themes will become of importance. It is evident that from 1995, when Pluto began its journey through Sagittarius, a huge revival of near "obligatory success" in the world took place. Sagittarius is rather expansive, very enthusiastic and full of vision. The economy continued to exist by the grace of all sorts of slogans regarding visions of the future that, for a great deal, rested on pantomime and balderdash. All this took place in a world full of advertisements of succesful power brokers making telephone calls in the streets for instance. Reality will overtake them all from 2008 on. I will be breathing with considerable more ease when all this economic coaching and all the balderdash about huge sums of money will become more realistic. However, I will also sadly say farewell to that part of the period Pluto-in-Sagittarius that brought us a great stimulant for meeting other peoples, other cultures, much travel, and the adventures of new worlds.

Living 'in the Now' is really better suited to Pluto in Capricorn than to Pluto in Sagittarius, for Now we live in the Future (Sagittarius). Capricorn is Time itself. Collectively we will be living in the Now more and more our future depends on it. The past and its abuse of power will certainly be brought to light and cleaned up, but unrealistic visions of the future will also belong to the past.

We will handle the principle of living in the Now better; day after day we need to be aware of how we regard the world using our own reponsibility rather than someone else's, which is helpful to others. By the year 2008 I will start living in the Now, and I'll be discovering how this feels, this new period with Pluto in a new sign and in a new quadrant. My quess is that it won't be easy-going during the first few years as large 'tension aspects' will occur with Uranus, Saturn and Pluto in the cardinal signs in 2010. The world will change, that's a certainty.

Hopefully we will witness large corporations, so powerful now and misusing these powers, (and made up from the people who took over the power at the beginning with Pluto in the "fourth" house) go under in favour of a better use of power. A better use which is not at the cost of others, and which will show more responsibility for the environment in which we live and which we share with each other, and this will not depend on outside factors, but on us. Our status might become ruined, but that is 'only' ego.

Our soul will want to express itself and will call for us to join our inner being so that we will be able to stand strong and whole in the outside world - not with a false status, not under the yoke of leaders or even boards and committees busy only with attaining status. Actually, 'status' will be out of fashion once Pluto will be in Capricorn ... ah, what a liberation!

This requires that you "bet it all" in a sense. For some this may be their "retirement" or their "life savings" or any other way that you feel that you are betting it all. Pluto brings a sense of accomplishment into the equation and will push you to make these important choices as the Jupiter/Pluto explosion takes place and you begin to see the writing of your destiny on the wall. Ultimately Pluto brings forward the energy of passion and purpose during the transition and you find the type of business you want to build because you believe in it. This is shifting away from the monetary aspects and going deeper into the equation of the value system and what money can do when intertwined with passion and a sense of purpose. Pluto in Sagittarius required that you strengthen yourself and have your self and your direction become stronger than the world around you. Not an easy task. Now it is to take that self that is galvanized with strength, to make choices that put you onto a career path that will expand your connections into a new business arena, one that you may not have thought in a million years you belong in, but you will find that everything that ha occurred up til now has all been to prepare you for your new position of passion.

Pluto in Capricorn impacting your 3rd house. You will move into this time of Pluto in Capricorn by bringing forward information that you have to speak or to write and to bring the Truth forward in ways that may not be the most popular amidst a society that still thinks the world is flat. The Jupiter/Pluto explosion cracks open the world of Truth that has landed in your lap. You are here to bring this information forward and you are moving into a time when you have your calling come into reality. You may have passed the point of retirement or you may just be graduating from college, either way, the impetus to bring information forward has now reached your venue. No longer will the false information and lies exist, you have lived through the experience as Pluto has finished it's time in Sagittarius in which the choices of Money or Truth showed the realities of the choices. You are moving into a time in which your business and your career will be a direct response of the situations and events that you have experienced. You are moving into a time in which you will speak up, you will say what needs to be said and your communication will echo through the halls of the old structures that chose money rather than truth. You are here to say what no one else will say, but you can't turn your back on the information that you now have sitting in your lap. The handwriting of destiny on the wall pushes you to grab your passion, your voice and speak up. The energy comes from deep in your being, you know that you are walking into your purpose, this is what you have come here to do. Regardless of the age or generation you come from, your message encompasses a universal message of Truth, one that crosses over the generations and becomes the Truth that is vital to everyone.

Pluto in Capricorn impacting your 4th house. You will move into this time of Pluto in Capricorn as you revise your foundation of the basics of all that is important. You have had to walk your spiritual path and spiritual journey and have felt that you are walking off a cliff. You are headed in the right directions as you have just left an arena of old concepts and have had to journey to the new world of new understanding. With the shift from Pluto in Sagittarius to Pluto in Capricorn, you have had to divorce yourself from the past and old concepts that restricted you and kept you from being yourself. Now with Pluto moving into Capricorn, you may be left with nothing but yourself and your God, but you can now begin to build again. With the explosion of Jupiter/Pluto you reached the limit of the past situations dictating you and your world. You could no longer live within the situations of old concepts, you have had to break free from the past, even if you had to leave everything behind. Your choices have to be true to your true beliefs. Similar to taking a stand against slavery and run for your life, you have to grab what you have; your Self and your God and start building your life again. Jupiter moving into Capricorn mid December helps to provide the impetus especially after the explosion of Jupiter and Pluto in Sagittarius that signaled the last straw to situations. It is time to take the only important things in your life and leave the old, the false, and the slavery to the past.

Opportunities will emerge in ways that you had not dreamed of and your creative nature is ready to move forward. The adjustments that you make as Jupiter moves into Capricorn mid December give you a sense of hope that you may be afraid to trust or to feel optimistic about. But as situations evolve as Pluto moves into Capricorn and the Mercury retrograde hits a time of adjustment, you will begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel. You are moving into new times, yet with the trial-by-fire scenarios that you have experienced, you may not think that a new dawn will come. Yet as situations change, you will move into a whole new arena. Your creativity and your self-expression becomes a key factor and your faith and trust in the foundation of your philosophy becomes the key to unlocking your creative qualities that will seek to find creative endeavors. You are ready to make decisions about your desires, your true wants and to shift the focus from others to the focus that is about your inner sense of Self. The Jupiter/Pluto explosion has pushed you past the point of providing help and assistance to others, as at a time you can lead a horse to the water but you can't make them drink. You have reached this point that others have to be on their own. You have put your philosophy forward and whether it was taken or not, you are ready to let it go. This becomes important as the true of philosophy is for the person to walk the path. Your past efforts have been stellar and the walk that you have taken to assist others has been the trial-by-fire pathway. Now you will move into a new environment integrating these new beliefs into the outside world with new goals, aspirations and business pursuits. Pluto in Capricorn impacting your 10th house. You will find that as Pluto moves into your 10th house you are ready to come into your true and rightful career. While Pluto was in Sagittarius, you had to walk through the trial-by-fire situations about your beliefs and put your beliefs on the line. This may have felt like you continued to get burned and continued to reach dead ends, especially as you followed the carrot of what you felt was right. The journey has left you exhausted, however, the journey had a much greater purpose than was seen, it provided the environment to show whether you were going to stop at the first sight of reward or at the first hill of challenge. You had to gain a much greater connection with your philosophy as it was incorporated with the outside world, to keep with your philosophy regardless of the results in the outside world. The journey that you have taken has now placed you to the highest level achieved and will now move you into your rightful career and business path. The Jupiter/Pluto explosion opens the door to walk out of the arena of the past and move into the arena that has you follow your philosophy and true calling. You are involved with humanitarian pursuits and the larger plight of mankind has spurred you forward all through the old business arena, but now pushes you into a new and different direction. This new direction provides a major opportunity as the Jupiter/Pluto explosion has you jump from one ship to another. The new ship is calling for someone of your talents to become the spokes person about the larger picture, about the real need for people and the plight of mankind is deafening. You make important choices to jump to a new ship, one that has a purpose and a passion that encompasses a greater good and one that has all of your passion engaged. As Pluto shifts into Capricorn in January and the mercury retrograde occurs in humanitarian sign of Aquarius, you realize that this shift is putting you right into the positions that you have dreamed of and now they are a reality. This is your time, the call is deafening as is the plight of humanity. You are ready, this is your time.

Pluto provides the point of power and whether it has been used for the best or not becomes the opportunity for you to connect with it. As the Jupiter/Pluto connection sparks the explosion of outer situations, you are ready to move into a new world within yourself, to come into a time of understanding the importance of the inner world. This inner world sees all, all across time, all across people and connects you with the true inner environments that are within us all. You are coming to understand the importance of these inner worlds and the opportunity to move this understanding into the outside world as it pertains to your career and new business pursuits. The power of the inner world is incredible and is yet so often not understood. In your way you will be moving into the right career directions in which you'll have the chance to expand your ability for others to understand the importance of this inner arena. With your insight and intuition, you can come into the business world to shine a new light onto this important environment. Once Jupiter moves into Capricorn in mid December, you will walk into a new career focus and be ready to integrate the importance of this inner world into your new career. There may be more earthquakes over the next few years, Pluto, 'Lord of the Underworld' is famous for unleashing powerful forces. It is now in Capricorn, an earth sign, traditionally associated with mountains and tectonic plates. I am not necessarily predicting disaster, just anticipating more tremors.
